Saša Bezjak was born in 1971 in Maribor and grew up in Trate in Slovenske Gorice. She graduated in 1999 from the Faculty of Education in Maribor in Art Pedagogy under the supervision of Prof. Darko Golija, and in 2001 from the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana under the mentorship of Prof. Metka Krašovec (practical part: Painting Sculpture) and Prof. Nadja Zgonik (theoretical part: Four Personal Views of Young Maribor Artists). In 2009, she also completed her Master's Degree in Sculpture at the Academy with Prof. Lujo Vodopivec on the theme of Different Dimensions of Reality. Since 2002, she has been working as a self-employed artist accredited by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Slovenia. In 2013, she was awarded the title of Expert Adviser for the subject area of Special Didactics from the University of Maribor.

Her areas of interest are drawing, painting, sculpture, art actions and teaching. She has been organising workshops for young people and adults for over a decade, with exhibitions of works created there.

She lives and works in Gornja Radgona.
